Summer Programs > Agree Outpost Camp
> Canadian Wilderness

Agree Outpost is a coed program for teens entering 9th & 10th grades. We focus
on a small group dynamic, which means that you will spend 26 fabulous
days with a small group of friendly and outgoing campers. Because of the
limited group size, you will develop meaningful friendships of a lifetime.
Canadian Wilderness campers will journey to quiet coves, hidden canyons,
play at the base of waterfalls, visit Native American sights and travel
through Northern Ontario. Wilderness campers learn white
water canoeing and hike through Lake Superior's majestic forests to scenic
waterfalls and pebble beaches.
Agree living is rustic, but when you return from your trips, you will
live in one of 4 cabins and have full use of showers, the lodge, the sauna,
and other amenities of base camp. Base camp, activities include canoeing,
kayaking, windsurfing, swimming, arts & crafts, sports and of course
relaxing.
All Agree campers have the opportunity to play in waterfalls, go rock
climbing, see Native American sights, and learn wilderness survival skills.
You will be taught all the skills you will need to go on a hiking trip
to the tallest cliffs in Northern Ontario or to shoot rapids on remote
rivers in a wildlife preservation area. At base camp we take part in Arts
& Crafts, sports, rock climbing, repelling, kayaking, sailing, sightseeing
and more.
Our
schedule is flexible and the campers help plan all the activities. Since
there are no clocks or watches, we set our own time schedule. We try to
keep a wilderness feeling at Agree by having very little modern devices,
therefore we go through the summer with no distractions such as Walkman's,
Radios, CD players, Game-boys, etc.
Since we are so self-sufficient at Agree, we plan and cook all of our
own meals. Some of our favorites include pizza and garlic bread, topped
off with homemade pie & ice cream, or, on Shabbat, perhaps it will
be BBQ chicken with freshly baked Challah and piping hot cherry cobbler!!
There is no better way to learn the meaning of Shabbat then spending
it in the beauty and wonder of the Canadian Wilderness. There is something
very magical about holding a Shabbat service on the beach with the sound
of waterfalls in the distance or having Havdalah around a roaring campfire
with a million stars and the Northern lights above.
Agree Outpost is for that camper that is looking for something different
to do this summer. If YOU are looking for a summer of
fun and adventure then Charles N. Agree Outpost Camp is for YOU!
