Year-Round Programs > Outdoor Education

For over 50 years the Tamarack Outdoor Education Program has been a leader in residential school camping.
The beauty of our natural surroundings and facilities, provide an outstanding outdoor experience that brings classroom lessons to life.
The goal of the Tamarack Outdoor Education Program is to provide students with outdoor experiences that enhance their appreciation for the natural world, within the context of group living. This means that every student will gain an increased understanding of the environment, and that each group will leave as a stronger and more cohesive team. We firmly believe that working and learning in the out-of-doors provides an incomparable way for students to grow as individuals and as a part of a larger community.
Our Environmental Education Center, Smokler Pioneer Village, Adventure Challenge Course, and two beautiful lakes provide multiple opportunities for unparalleled educational experiences.
Our dedicated staff can assist your group in planning and implementing a program especially suited to your needs and provides your group with a memorable outdoor experience while addressing a number of the state benchmarks in education.
The staff of the Tamarack Outdoor Education Program will be pleased to meet with your group to help you plan your program.
